How to Join San Carlos United
The majority of our teams are formed by a coach with the interest in creating a more competitive environment for a group of kids that just completed a season with AYSO. We have a fantastic AYSO program in San Carlos and a lot of our teams present success can be traced back to the wonderful start they got in the local AYSO program.
All of our present coaches have coached and some still coach in the San Carlos AYSO Program. A lot of them coached the winter select team the year preceding their start with San Carlos United. The coaches eyes are opened when the most talented players from the age group get together and play. The next inclination is for the coach or an interested parent to ask how can we keep this team and where can these kids play at this level. CYSA and San Carlos United is the answer.
Prospective coaches and/or team mangers must be San Carlos residents in order to form a team with San Carlos United.
The team must also maintain a majority of San Carlos residents as players.
The Club reviews petitions to form a new team at our meeting in February. Please read the constitution and by-laws for the selection of coaches and managers.
Additionally, each team must provide one licensed referee, available to the Club Chief Referee, to officiate home games on a regular basis.
